We start by scattering handfuls of the same Mondako flour that is the cornerstone of our tender Croissant-Shaped Gnocchi into swaths of bubbling Irish butter to form a smooth mixture. Then we whisk in milk fresh from the farm and simmer it gently to allow the flavors to marry. A hint of nutmeg alongside aged Wisconsin cheddar swirls into our sauce and dances delightfully upon any palate lucky enough to secure a taste of this toothsome and elegant sauce. One jar is the perfect amount to pair with one box of our croissant-shaped gnocchi.

This is a classic, and for good reason- it is a sauce that sings, despite its simplicity. Made in small batches using quality ingredients, it doesn’t get anymore my hands to your heart.

How to Prepare

Place the sealed jar of sauce in a bowl of warm water while cooking pasta. Drain the pasta in a colander and stir the sauce in the pasta pot over medium heat until smooth. Add the cooked pasta and toss together until heated through, about one minute. Serve immediately.

Add frozen pasta to boiling, salted water. Boil until they float, 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

For brightest color and best nutrient content, do not overcook. 

Drain, reserving some pasta water. Toss in a pan with your favorite sauce, butter or olive oil and add a little bit of pasta water as needed to thin the sauce. Serve immediately. 

Tip: Use translucent sauces to let the pasta colors shine!
